we are positively addressing the challenges of our community through giving
Today, BABA is positioning itself to have a broader reach both regionally and demographically. Since 2020, BABA’s mission has evolved and broadened to address the needs of entire communities it serves and not merely youth, although youth remain one of its primary targets. This includes broadening activities to include more rural counties in north Georgia while still maintaining its presence as a service provider in neighborhoods in and around Atlanta.
In order to enable it to meet the needs of underserved and under resourced communities, Bankhead Atlanta Boxing Academy, Incorporated is launching a year-long capital campaign to help fund its initiatives.
These initiatives are planned to:• feed, clothe, and provide academic support to young people including teaching and promoting financial and civic literacy• provide food, clothing and assistance to persons of any age at risk of homelessness and/or food insecurity• Provide programs that offer academic opportunities to gifted and talented young people in at-risk communities• Promote positive relationships between youth and law enforcement personnel that serve at-risk communities through athletics and mentorship activities. Through tax deductible contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations, BABA will add to the number of individuals and families that have had their food, housing, and personal well-being made better through its programs.
